I’m in a New York summer state of mind! Nothing inspires me more than taking full advantage of everything the seasons have to offer. And, I’ll be honest, summer is an especially good one! Bring on vibrant colors, tan skin, BBQs, berries & stone fruit, summer Fridays, and many salty swims in the ocean!
pops of color

So remember when back-to-school clothes shopping meant buying a new pair of sneakers to wear throughout the year? Well, I like to apply the same concept to bathing suits come summertime. And this year, I’m loving a striped strapless one piece, like this pink one from Bond Eye, or this red and white one from Hunza G.
I honestly don’t have a logical explanation for why I think these leopard pants are cool, I just do.
As much as I love a good baseball or trucker hat, sometimes when I put one before heading out to the beach, I feel like a little boy. This straw cowboy-esque hat elevates your beach attire while still providing the same sun protection.
I adore this shell shoulder bag, and think it’ll be such a fun summer accessory!
The Gap x DÔEN collaboration is by no means breaking news but it took me weeks to finally get my hands on this cropped eyelet tank top. It runs super big, so definitely size down.
Somehow still without a pair of Boston Birkenstocks, and feeling like my first pair should be the braided blue suede ones from the Staud collab.
Nikki Chasin has started a movement with her appliqué smocked bikini top tees, and I am dead set on hoping on the bandwagon.
Get cozy in a pair of light-weight cotton sweatpants in an air conditioned house. Everyone knows gray is the comfiest color!
This chunky pearl necklace seems to summerfy every outfit I put on.

A few weeks ago, I realized that my current makeup routine was simply not cutting it, and wasn’t achieving the glowy, bronzy, sun-kissed lure that everyone is after. After lots of research, I purchased the Typology tinted serum, Rhode pocket blush in piggy and sleepy girl, and the Maison Margiela Replica perfume in ‘Beach Walk.’ These three products are natural, light-weight and oh-so summery — highly recommend all!
recipes on my radar

Food tastes better when you cook with ingredients in season. Something about it just feels right to me. So whenever possible, I try and cook dishes that spotlight whatever is in season. Some recipes that have caught my eye and I’m planning to cook include Strawberry Thai Basil Sorbet (I mean look at how red!), Leek Risotto With Sugar Snap Peas and Pancetta, and Tutti Frutti Thumbprint Cookies.
